Anthon is chosen by Sonae Arauco as partner for the finishing line
Sonae Arauco Deutschland GmbH orders sophisticated high-capacity finishing line for processing wood-fibre-insulation-boards and packaging of blow-in insulation in Meppen, Germany.

Sonae Arauco is on its way to complete its AGEPAN® SYSTEM of sustainable construction components for roofs, walls and floors with additional products, and for that a relevant brownfield investment will being made. In 2024 at their existing site in Meppen, the new line shall be installed.
Sonae Arauco relies on a customized solution from Anthon GmbH. It includes finishing for the existing production line as well as for the new production line and is unique in its complexity and performance.
“Anthon as the premium supplier of solid and reliable systems is well known to us. For the new finishing line in Meppen our demand is to process different capacities in a diverse production variety at the highest availabilities with a finishing line which needs to be 100% tailor made as it is planned into the existing hall structure at our site. During the sales and engineering phase of the project, Anthon clearly convinced us with its very high degree of experience in this field of industry. Furthermore, at our site in Meppen we are operating an Anthon cut to size line since more than 30 years still reliable as from the beginning.
Therefore, we are convinced that our decision was right. Anthon will deliver a state of the art, solid and durable solution to us,” says Mr Guennemann, head of Sonae Arauco’s project in Meppen.
The Anthon scope of supply of the turnkey project starts online connected to the diagonal saw of the press supplier with a system for in- & outfeed master boards (buffering). It is followed always online connected by a cut to size system, a destacking system for rigid straight-edge products, a tongue and groove machinewith a designated robot destacking system behind and a fully automatic
packaging system with various functions such as protective corner application, foiling or even application of labels as well as an automatic handling system of pallets. The finishing line is also equipped with a package building device, a shrink tunnel and a respective robot destacking device for building the stacks of bundles.
With the high demands on flexibility and performance of the finishing process, this project once again sets new standards in precision and reliability. Another major milestone for Anthon in its many years of activity in the wood-based materials industry.
The delivery, installation and commissioning of the plant is scheduled for the second half of 2024.
