Second sanding and sawing combination goes to India
After Maschinenfabrik Anthon delivered its first sanding and sawing combination to Rushil Decór in India in 2019 and successfully commissioned it, India representative Gonne Hansen wins the next project for Anthon in the state of Gujarat. “Word seems to have spread about the performance of our plants,” Hansen notes.
The plant to be supplied hardly differs in function and performance from the one for Rushil Décor. The sanding and sawing combination includes a powerful book saw that is to be used for splitting chipboard. Like Rushil Décor, Merino Industries produces panels for the fast-growing furniture industry in India. Furthermore, the Merino plant is part of an emerging cluster consisting of particleboard and furniture manufacturing.
Delivery dates are scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.
Anthon GmbH will be supported by an Indian engineering service provider during assembly and commissioning.
“It has proven successful in China to fill up our own assembly capacities with local expertise. This allows us to plan more flexibly and saves travel time as well as travel costs.”
