It is with pride and humility that we look back at more than 150 years during which Anthon developed into an internationally successful company. The three brothers of the Anthon family founded a small workshop in 1865 on Friesische Strasse which has grown into a factory site in Schäferweg, measuring more than 8.5 acres in size. A craftsman's establishment transformed into an internationally sought-after provider of complex high-tech sawing systems.
With courage and commitment, the three brothers created a business foundation whose core has been preserved over generations. They grew the workshop into an iron foundry and expanded that into a factory for forestry machines. Moreover, they continued to expand the product range over generations, recognizing the needs of the market and customers - at home as well as abroad. Anthon became a synonym for heavy machine construction, quality and service capability.
And the story of Anthon continues: After completing his studies in Electrical Engineering, Klaus Lange joined Anthon in the 1970s. He expanded the distribution network, was appointed Authorized Representative and acquired significant large-volume orders together with the team. In 1978, Klaus Lange along with Business Administration Manager Ernst Günther Runge re-designed the core of the product range, the panel sizing plant. Anthon also relies on automation. After the retirement of Ernst Günther Runge, Klaus Lange took over management and was joined by his son, Product Developer Ove Lange in 2001. Ove began as Project Manager and has been in charge of the family business as Managing Partner since 2002. Since then, Anthon has accelerated its entry into the Digital Age and matured into a company 4.0.
As a result, the Anthon teams designs, develops, manufactures and installs computer-supported machine systems as well as robot-supported packaging plants for the panel-processing industry while continuing to set new standards. Family and staff are proud of the long company history and of the many smart, committed people who have contributed to the success of the company since its beginnings in 1865. Because that is what Anthon is about. Employees who dedicate themselves to machines. No matter how high-tech a machine may be, it will always require the person who designs it and advocates it on the market. That is what the Anthon staff does - with a committed look into the future.
